When it comes to creating handmade earrings for sale, I can’t even imagine only sticking with one type of material, technique, design, or even media!
Truthfully, I would not only get bored doing the same thing over and over again, but it would feel as if I am not allowing my entire range of creativity to come out to play.

My handmade earrings for sale and the crux of being a multi-disciplinarian artisan!

I am what you would consider a multi-disciplinarian artisan. For those among you who have never heard that phrase, it translates to an Artisan and Maker who utilizes a wide variety of techniques, materials, and media to create unique pieces for sale. And yes, I cringed a little right there calling them products, because to me, they are treasures.

Being someone who loves to experiment with a combination of different materials, colors, techniques, and more, is both a blessing and a real crux at times. At least it is for me, since I can’t stick with just one category or one style.

I would get so bored trying to replicate the same thing over and over again that I literally would go into a creative coma. My brain would go on strike. I know this because I actually tried it. NEVER AGAIN!

For me and the lucky collector of my handmade earrings for sale, it is a true blessing, however. There is always something new to discover, and my collections keep expanding. Which means, if I don’t get bored, neither will you! Haha.

My handmade earrings for sale come in crochet, hand-painted wood, beaded, and a mix of the above! It’s glorious, really!

Long before I ever even thought I would get the opportunity to make my dream of turning my talents and skills into my livelihood, I started to hone my skills and experiment with different materials and techniques to create something unique. I’ve never been a trend follower; I’ve always been a trendsetter.

Honing my skills is a lifelong pursuit. I will continue to do that until I either pass on to my next life journey or until my hands or eyes give out. I am 56 years fabulous now (finally, because I sure didn’t feel fabulous for a very long time—read my “About Me” page to understand), and I hope that will not take place for a very long time.

To me, different materials just fit together beautifully. I like the different textures and how colors can appear different depending on which medium you use. Combining hand painting on a piece of pre-cut thin wood, and then adding beads to it via FireLine thread or cord, gives it that organic flow and texture play.

Crocheting earrings in different crochet threads, and then just letting the shape become what it wants to be when I block it and spray it with a stiffening spray, is raw creative magic to me.

Just like using different types of beads and creating shapes, flow, and movement with them is pure handmade alchemy to me.

I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s pure play for my creative soul, while my analytical problem-solving mind still gets fed as well. The finished handmade treasures always look so effortless, but trust me when I tell you, a lot of focus, effort, and conceptualizing go into it. That is why two makers can create something similar as far as category or even color scheme goes, but it will never be exactly the same. Only machines create perfect replicas that are terrifyingly soulless.

I keep seasons, budgets, and my treasured buyers in mind too, when creating my handmade earrings for sale!

I am still finding my audience, my tribe, my community of artisan-made / handmade lovers. A handful of them have found me so far, and reactions to things like posts on my Facebook Page can give me a glimpse into the demographic of who likes what. It’s helpful, but in the end, it’s still an algorithm mystery.

Now, mind you, I am personally a big fan of the cozy mystery genre—that is why I often listen to one on my Audible audiobooks—but when it comes to knowing who will enjoy what, not so much.

So I ballpark it, and remember that there is NO WAY I am the only one that looks at my creations and thinks, “Wow, pretty—I’d love to wear that!”

As seasons change, so does what you want to wear. High-heat months are not really conducive to wanting to wear heavy earrings that pull your ears down (not that any of the ones I create will ever be super heavy).

I myself, as well as my daughters and a few people I had befriended in the past, have had problems with skin sensitivity, so I try to keep things nickel-free, or for my higher-priced handmade earrings for sale, I utilize 14K gold-filled hooks, which are so much better for sensitive skin.

Crochet earrings and hand-painted wood earrings don’t just have this bohemian/retro hippy / cottagecore gypsy vibe to them, but are super lightweight. They make beautiful impulse-buy gifts as well, since I can offer them for under $20 a pair vs. high-end beads with gemstones and 14K gold-filled findings.

So I keep style diversity, budgets, seasons, and skin sensitivities in mind as well when I begin designing and creating. Basically, the analytical part of my brain (and I am surprisingly equally creative and analytical) sets out to solve a problem for the potential buyer / collector before I begin.

Texture and Color Therapy come into play as well!

There is a really good chance you and I have never met in person, and I am fully aware that if you have watched my Reels or seen current pictures of me, you would never think that I am not only interested in, but fairly adept when it comes to Texture and Color Therapy.

Different textures and colors can actually elevate your mood, while others can calm you. Some are there to ground you, while yet a different set is able to reinforce a positive aspect of your authentic presentation.

I wish those who shop on eBay would be more prone to reading longer descriptions, but most actually get “turned off” by it. We live in a time of instant gratification and very little patience. This is why if you are a regular visitor to my blog, I already know one thing about you: You like to read. You are hungry for human connection. You crave to learn something new—be it about a technique or the artisan behind the pieces. So you would make my perfect collector, buyer, or supporter, since every so often I break the “keep it short and simple description rule” and lay it all out. I include materials and techniques used, and the meaning behind the gemstones, colors, and even textures at times.

I have a couple of pairs of earrings for sale on my eBay store right now that are still available, which are great for those who need something to fidget with. The beads I used are dual-toned, and the way I wove them together allows you to carefully spin them around. This allows you to have different designs, as well as give your anxiety something to fidget with. You don’t have to worry; they won’t come loose. They are securely woven together—I just used a thinner version of the very durable FireLine thread so they have a bit of space to turn. Clever, no?

Oh dear, I better wrap this blog post up!

I could “talk”—or write, in this case—for hours about my handmade treasures and the creative madness behind why I do what I do. Don’t ever get an Artisan who loves what they do started talking about their passion and craft, unless you want your ears talked off! *goofy smirk here* Well, that is unless you come across a grouchy maker who is afraid you’ll steal their secrets, but since I am not “inventing” the wheel here, simply building on generations of craftsmanship from around the world, I have no problem being transparent. Like I said earlier, no two makers will ever create the same thing in exactly the same way. The magic we create is in our ability to think creatively and our hands. Our hearts too, and of course our passion for what we do. I think it is fair to use the word “we” here and speak for most artisans.

I would like to invite you to visit my eBay store and browse around. Look at the different types of handmade earrings I have for sale. Indulge in a pair that speaks to you and is within your budget.

A little neat thing about eBay which I really like, and one of the reasons I chose it as my e-commerce platform, is that they do offer payment through Klarna as well. Which means, if you really want one or two of my more expensive items (and I don’t have anything over $100 right now, with some starting as cheap as $10 and going up), you can use Klarna and make payments that way.

Please remember to sign up for my mailing list, and if you have a problem with that subscription button, you can send me an email to regina@reginacreates.com and ask to be put on my bi-monthly mailer list.

As always, I want to thank you for stopping by, spending your valuable time reading, and supporting me. As an Independent Artisan and small handmade business, it is the support of someone like you that helps me survive and grow.

So Kudos to you!

Many blessings to you and yours.

Until next time!

Artisan Regina L.
