Why Collectors Love My Whimsical Handmade Jewelry

My first two reviews show why collectors love my whimsical, eclectic, Handmade Jewelry!

There is no question about it! Good reviews from real-life customers are the lifeblood of a business starting out and trying to grow. From the purely artisan side, seeing in writing that someone loves your slow-process, handmade jewelry (at least in my case) feeds my soul. Seeing those first two official positive reviews and feedback on my Facebook Page, Hearing, or in this case, seeing it being called whimsical, Handmade Jewelry and Treasures, lit me up in ways I can’t even fully express.

In the featured image, you can see a screenshot of the two positive reviews I recently received. Tatyana S. has been a collector of my handmade jewelry going back to my ‘legacy days.’ Or should I say, my very humble beginnings! Back then, I worked with mid-quality focal beads, irregular finds, and materials sourced from flea markets and broken jewelry. I used stretch cord, waxed cord, and off-brand beading thread. Those were my vendor show and pop-up market days, when I was still more of a dedicated hobbyist than the professional artisan maker I have since grown into. Some of the jewelry pieces she owns from my legacy collections are anywhere from three to eight years old.

ReginaCreates handmade treasures you can delight in and show off proudly

A close-up shot of several black metal jewelry display stands, densely packed and hanging with countless handmade beaded necklaces. The collection is highly varied, showcasing a multitude of colors, bead types, lengths, and styles, representing a large body of unique, artisan-crafted wearable art. A top-down photograph looking into an open black jewelry box overflowing with a vibrant, dense collection of handmade beaded bracelets. The hoard includes dozens of bracelets featuring colorful glass beads, pearls, charms, metal spacers, and unique focal points, highlighting years of eclectic jewelry creation. These two pictures show just a fraction of the handmade legacy jewelry created by me, Artisan Regina L. / ReginaCreates, which can now be found in the colorful and whimsical hoard that collector Tatyana S. calls her “jewelry box.”

As you can imagine, she always had a rather hard time picking only one or two pieces! For her, reaching into my treasure box of handmade bracelets and jewelry (as I used to call it) was equal to a dragoness seeing new shiny, magical pretties that she just had to add.

My Handmade Jewelry is Relevant to Women of All Generations and Styles!

It is a beautiful thing to see two women love my handmade jewelry, each having a very different taste in style and coming from different generations.

Where Tatyana S. is in her late 40s, Diana K. is in her mid-to-late 30s. Tatyana loves whimsical, colorful pieces that range from elegant to bold styles; her color palette changes constantly with her mood. Diana, on the other hand, favors gothic-style jewelry, jewel tones, and statement pieces. She loves what I call “conversation starters”—styles that make people “aww” and smile.

Over the years, my customers have come from a vast array of backgrounds and tastes. I thrive on creating something that will tickle the “joy bones” of a wide variety of individuals, encouraging them to embrace their “living out loud” nature.

Whether it is my handmade necklaces, beaded bracelets, handwoven rings, or artisan earrings—and recently, my unique beaded and bead-embroidered pin brooches—the materials and styles are incredibly varied. For those who love the aesthetic and quality of slow-process, handmade accessories, there is a high chance you’ll find a piece you just have to own within my different collections!

From “Simple” Bead-Strung Jewelry to Mixed Media Handmade Artisan Jewelry: My Evolution!

I still enjoy reaching back into my “legacy times,” where my bead-stringing and color-matching journey truly began. Even today, I love the meditative process of stringing beautiful beads, but my work has evolved into much more complex territory.

I have grown from a dedicated hobbyist into a professional artisan maker, incorporating intricate techniques like Peyote stitch, Brick stitch, and Ladder stitch. Today, I utilize high-end components like Miyuki Japanese glass beads, Krakovski crystals, and nickel-free gold-toned metals. This evolution from simple stringing to complex, slow-process beadweaving and mixed media art allows me to create pieces that aren’t just jewelry—they are durable, wearable stories.

Two Sales Platforms — One Maker

A while ago, I decided that I wanted to make my handmade treasures available at different price points. I consider myself an affordable artisan. I truly believe that the desire to own something unique and beautiful shouldn’t be reserved only for those with deep pockets.

I strive to keep my prices as fair as possible for both sides. Of course, I do need to make a profit—after all, this is how I pay my bills and purchase the materials to keep creating! When it comes to sourcing, I remain budget-conscious, looking for quality materials at a fair market value. I often wait for the right price before adding to my beading, yarn, or art stash.

Doing it this way allows me to pass those savings on to you. By keeping my material costs reasonable and being mindful of platform fees, I can offer my handmade creations at a competitive price.

Finding the Right Home for Each Piece

I am learning which of my creations are best suited for my Boutique Store,” where prices average between $39 and $150 (with domestic S&H included), and which pieces fit better as eBay listings.

  • The Boutique Collection: Pieces that take 12 to 20 hours to create and use my highest-quality materials are featured here.
  • The eBay Collection: My equally beautiful creations that use “average to good” quality materials and have a creation time of 2 to 8 hours find their way to eBay. There, I offer a mix of auction and “Buy It Now” options.

Won’t You Become One of My Treasured Collectors of the ReginaCreates™ Brand?

I hope you can appreciate and value my transparency and forthrightness with you. As I so often say, I am new to the e-commerce and full-on professional handmade artisan side of things. Before this, I was a dedicated hobbyist who sold her whimsical, cozy, beautiful, and sometimes delightfully outrageous jewelry, art, or crochet wearables in person—occasionally at vendor shows or pop-up craft events.

There are many women (and some men!) who have purchased from me in the past and still enjoy the delightful finds created by my two hands. Back then, reviews were usually just “showing off what they bought” or traditional word-of-mouth. When you sell in person within local circles, those connections are invaluable, and I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for them.

Since then, I have moved several times and shifted my focus to e-commerce. This is a whole different type of selling! These top two reviews are just the start of building trust in myself and my creations all over again in a digital space.

I would like to encourage you to give me and my handmade creations a chance. You won’t be disappointed! And remember, when you do, you are not “only” supporting Made in the USA handmade and artisan work; you are becoming a much-appreciated support for a woman starting over again in her 50s. (Trust me, it’s more challenging than it sounds, but I love what I do and am determined to not only succeed but become a great example for others who want to make their dreams a reality!)
